Alcohol is a drink that can be consumed all year round. Whether for celebrations, holidays or general socialising, it goes without saying that everyone enjoys having a drink once in a while. For some though it is more a choice of fitting in with the crowd or drinking for the sake of it, rather than the taste. So what beer co*cktail recipes are there to acquire to your own personal taste?

Beer is one of the most popular alcoholic drinks in the world, many love the taste of stout and many simply cannot stand it. But fear not. Beer co*cktails are increasingly popular in recent times and new recipes are being added day by day. Usually made from beer and a type of liquor, they are a hit with all who dare try them.

The main purpose for these drinks is the image they give off (they are often more glamorous than a pint of beer) and they taste fantastic. So much so that many shops now sell recipe books for all types of co*cktails and bars and clubs serve their own concoctions! However, be aware - they can be lethal if not drunk accordingly.

There are so many flavors to choose from nowadays due to accidents in drink mixing behind the bar that have resulted in favorites for many. Although there are so many to choose from, there are definitely a number of recipes that seem to crop up regularly. The following recipes are those that have continued success with drinkers of all ages due to their quirky flavours and the success of their aim - to get as drunk as fast as possible!

Raging Bull - It sounds fierce and it tastes fierce. This delicious mix comprises of:

  • 2 parts lager
  • 2 parts red bull
  • 1 part tequila

Once mixed together these flavors collide with one another giving a splendid flavour to make your taste buds go wild! The flavors taste surprisingly good together and this drink has now been consumed worldwide on a regular basis. Easy to make and the ingredients can easily be purchased from your closest store.

Black Velvet - This is a well-known choice for regular drinkers.

  • Equal parts stout
  • Equal parts champagne

This is an old favorite and one of the easiest to create. This drink is one that should be taken its time with, but is incredibly enjoyable. It is probably one of the best known worldwide and surely will be for many years to come.

Irish Car Bomb - Sounds dangerous and certainly can be if not handled with care!

  • Irish style stout
  • Shot of Irish whiskey

With a pint of stout, the shot of Irish whiskey is immersed into the glass and gives off a powerful taste. This was created in Ireland but has since been globally widespread!

Tom O'Hawk (or Tomahawk) - A delicious and intriguing mix

  • 1/2 pint of stout
  • Double shot of vodka
  • Topped with Smirnoff Ice

This mix is rather lethal and contains lots of alcohol! However it can be enjoyed as a smooth drink, so be careful you don't enjoy it too much as it can go down a treat!

Happy Mich - Originally from Mexico, the Michelada is a refreshing summer co*cktail.

  • 6 ounces beer
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon plus 1 pinch Pico Piquin seasoning
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) hibiscus concentrate
  • 2 dashes hot sauce, such as Tabasco
  • 2 cups ice cubes

This is a little more difficult to produce than the others, but is by far the tastiest. This co*cktail is mouthwatering and tastes fantastic. The array of flavors work amazingly well together, although be aware you may need a hand getting home after drinking too many of these!
