Specifieke bestemmingsinfo:

Alberobello, a unique village in the world. If you are looking for an atypical and authentic destination in Italy, Alberobello is a perfect choice. Nestled in the Apulia region, this small village is famous for its traditional architecture called trulli, stone houses with conical roofs. With over 1,000 trulli in the Rione Monti and Rione Aia Piccola, Alberobello is a unique place that will transport you to another time. When you visit Alberobello, you can walk through the cobblestone streets of the village and admire the trulli, some of which are over 400 years old. The village is also an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding area, including the Itria Valley. In the summer, the area is ideal for hiking, biking or kayaking, while in the winter you can warm up by the fireplace in one of the many trulli converted into tourist accommodations. But Alberobello is about more than just its unique architecture. The village also has a rich history and a lively culture. You can visit the Basilica Santuario dei Santi Medici, an 18th century church, or the local museum that tells the history of the area. The local market, which takes place every Thursday, is an excellent way to discover the local gastronomy, with its fresh and quality products. What is your favorite photo? Our last day in Rome was filled with heartfelt goodbyes. We visited the iconic Trevi Fountain and strolled through the charming streets of the city center. I reconnected with friends who shared my Roman years, a time of bittersweet memories. These were my coming out years, in a city where LGBTQ+ spaces were hidden and underground. I remember feeling hopeless, especially when my first love wasn’t accepted by my parents. Back then, I planned my escape abroad, seeking acceptance. Never in a million years did I imagine standing in Rome today, surrounded by my old friends, my family, and my kids. So much progress has been made, and I find myself changed for the better. This journey has taught me to choose who to include in my life and who to let go. Traveling away from the safe cocoon of New York, we often attract attention. In the past, I would focus on those curious or judgmental looks, but now I’ve learned to ignore them and save my energy for the people I love. I’ve learned to shut out the noise. Check out my stories for more pictures and videos, and please give us a like or leave a comment! 💖 #FamilyTravel #TravelWithKids #TravelDiaries #RomeAdventures #LGBTQTravel #FamilyTime #TravelGram #Wanderlust #ExploreTheWorld #TravelGoals #FamilyBonding #TravelStories #TravelAddict #TravelLife #DiscoverItaly #TravelingWithKids #FamilyVacation #TravelMemories #LoveTravelling #TravelInspiration
With that said, we’re ready for our next stop: Matera, where the nonni are eagerly waiting to see the kids again.

Granville Island is my happy place 🩷💜🩵 Spent a week at an arts 🎨 summer camp, where the kids learned all kinds of art from dance and music to drawing and painting. They came home with amazing masterpieces. After class, we`d always grab fresh treats from the market and take the aquabus around downtown. Such a creative, vibrant spot in the city. 📍 Granville Island #TravelWithRabeea #WongTanyaFaith #WongTristanHart #TravellingWithKids

"Kikispassport" is a travel blogger sharing her solo adventures. Since July, she’s been exploring Sri Lanka and recently faced a scam while visiting Ella Rock. "Please watch out for this scam if you try to climb Ella Rock. This is the most unsafe I’ve felt in all my travels around Asia. Go past Kithalella station. Be aware of your surroundings and stay safe," she noted on her IG account. Given that tourism is a major part of Sri Lanka’s economy, it`s crucial to be aware of these issues. Scams like these can impact the entire tourism industry, so let’s stay vigilant and support a positive travel experience. The comments on her post reveal that many other tourists have had similar experiences. This highlights the need for the Ministry of Tourism and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (sltda_srilanka) to focus more on tourist safety and address these issues.
