To make 6 to 8 biscuits, you would need the following ingredients. With all of these ready, you can make fluffy, healthy, tasty and flavorful biscuits within 15 minutes!

  • Bisquick (or the biscuit mix) – 1 cup (vegan or gluten-free as per your choice)
  • Vegan milk – 1/3 cup (use any plant-based milk of your choice)
  • Shredded Vegan Cheese – ½ cup
  • Melted Vegan Butter – ¼ cup
  • Parsley – 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder and salt combined – ¼ teaspoon
  • Old Bay Seasoning – 1/8 teaspoon (can avoid if you don’t have this)

Process of making vegan cheddar bay biscuits

  • First, you need to prepare your microwave by pre-heating it to 450 degrees F.
  • In a big mixing bowl, add the Bisquick mix.
  • Add the shredded vegan cheese to this mix and stir well.
  • Add the plant-based milk to this mixture. You can use soy milk because it is quite thicker than other vegan milk types. However, you can also use coconut, almond, cashew, oat milk, or anything you prefer.
  • Stir gently so that all contents are mixed well, but take care not to over-stir the mixture.

  • In a saucepan, empty the contents of a can of full-fat coconut milk and add about ½ cup of hot water to it.
  • Keep stirring the mixture, while you add 2 tablespoons each of agar-agar and nutritional yeast. Stir the contents and keep adding 1.5 teaspoons of salt & garlic powder and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice.
