Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)
We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.
The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.
Winter to Early Spring
We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone. Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product. For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.
Summer
If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks. We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.
Fall into Winter
We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

However, the durability and longevity of metal raised garden beds make them a worthwhile investment. Metal raised garden beds offer many benefits for gardeners, including durability, aesthetics, pest control, and easy maintenance.
Depending on your budget and gardening goals, you can line the bottom of your raised garden beds with wide-mesh hardware cloth, stainless steel mesh, landscape fabric, burlap sack, or newspaper/cardboard.
On average, a DIY raised bed constructed from wood will cost $25 to $50 per square foot. To have a wooden raised bed constructed and installed for you, budget for at least $100 per square foot. (Find a kitchen garden company in your area.)
The answer is yes. Galvanized steel is non-toxic and therefore safe to use in food gardens. The galvanization process involves coating the steel with zinc, which serves as a protective barrier against corrosion or rusting.
You can line the bottom of your raised garden bed with cardboard and newspaper to block out weeds or act as a barrier against rhizomatous, weedy or invasive plants. While some may opt for landscape fabric, cardboard is a more cost-effective option.
They heat up more and dry out a lot faster than level ground, which can be a big disadvantage in very hot or dry climates. They can cost a lot of money to create the frames, and fill the beds with soil, especially if you choose to use Mel's Mix (square foot gardening potting soil).
Regular pine board can be used as well. Pine will last an average of 5 years as a raised garden bed, and redwood will last more like 10 years. Landscaping block and brick can make for a good raised bed as well.
If you are using a galvanized metal bed, then for the most part, lining is not necessary. The height of the metal raised beds will deter weeds, and draining conditions are usually sufficient.
Most of the metal raised beds you'll find available online today are made with rust-resistant steel. Even Corten steel, which is made to look rusted, is designed to weather to a certain point and then stop.
*Due to a large volume of calls, we want to clarify that we do not sell corrugated metal panels. However, our Board and Batten Panel, Wagler Panel, and Paradise Panel would all make great options to use as the metal panel for your raised metal garden bed.
However, they may not be the best choice for all gardeners, as they come with advantages and disadvantages. Durability: Metal raised beds are typically more durable than wooden or plastic beds. They resist rot and insect damage and can last for many years, even decades, with minimal maintenance.
One slight disadvantage to picking metal as your material of choice is that these planters can get searingly hot when left out in the glaring sun, burning your plants, drying out the soil, and increasing the chance of root damage.
Metal garden beds usually last at least 30 years, assuming they are well maintained. The biggest factor affecting the life of metal garden bed is the type of soil it often contacts. High acid soil will destroy the zinc layer around the metal garden bed, which will shorten the service life of the bed itself over time.
